Peter Filopoulos joined Perth Glory Football Club as their Chief Executive Officer in July 2015 charged with the responsibility of leading the club out of the salary cap saga that plagued the Club in the 2014/15 Hyundai A-League season and develop and implement a new strategic plan for the Club taking the Club into a new and exciting direction.
Peter has over 20 years experience in sports administration with some of Australia’s biggest sports and entertainment brands holding positions previously with the following organisations:
- Swimming Australia – Chief Commercial Officer (2014-2015)
- Etihad Stadium – Director of Sales, Marketing and Communications (2007-2014)
- North Melbourne Football Club – Director of Sales, Marketing and Communications (2002-2007)
- Hawthorn Football Club – Director of Sales (1999-2002)
- South Melbourne Football Club – Chief Executive Officer (1992-1999)
Peter’s career in sport commenced in 1992 when as a young 24 year old was appointed the CEO of the National Soccer League powerhouse, South Melbourne Football Club.
Peter has developed a strong reputation as a senior sports executive and a strong commercial marketer who has a strong track record and a number of proud achievements with each role he has held across his career.
